Hops

Comet

Known for zesty grapefruit, pineapple and orange flavors. Used for beer styles American Ale, IPAs, Lagers, Sour & Lambic styles. Main usage is for bittering or to bring out as a late addition to bring out strong citrus flavor. A potent high-oil hops with “raspy” or “wild” bitterness.


Alpha Acids: 11.3%. Beta Acids: 4.6% Cohumulone: 41% Total oils: 1.4-3.3ml/100g

Chinook

Known for spicy, piney-resiny, and grapefruit flavors. Used for beer styles of pale ales, lagers, and heavy bodied dark ales. Main usage is for aroma and bittering but is a dual purpose bittering/flavoring hop. 

 

Alpha Acids: 10-14%. Beta Acids: 3.0-4.0% Cohumulone: 29-24% Total oils: 1.5-2.7%

Michigan Copper

Known for being floral, tropical, fruit punch, pepper and cherry flavor. Used for beer styles of American ales, IPA, Pale Ale, Wheat, Belgians, Lagers and Stouts. Main usage is for super-aroma with very fragrant and floral tropical fruit aroma flavors.

Alpha Acids: 9-13%. Beta Acids: 2.5-3.5% Cohumulone: 36% Total oils: 1.75ml/100g

Mackinac

Known for being big tropical, citrus, melon, papaya and spiced flavors. Used for beer styles of IPA, NIPA, Juicy, Sessions, and Shandy. Main usage is for aroma.
